Dental Health Plans
Dental Health Care Services
"Our aim is to get you a healthy smile. We are committed to giving you a friendly, quality healthcare experience. Our plans will protect you from unwelcome financial suprises."
Dental payment plans are a means of budgeting for your routine dental care. We recognise that individuals have different dental expectations and requirements. After an initial examination we can match your dental needs to the most suitable plan.
How do the Manor Road Dental Health Plans operate?
"Your Dentist will advise which plan applies to your clinical situation."
Your regular monthly payment will give you access to all the routine services we normally provide within the practice to preserve your dental health. This includes:
- Health examination of your teeth, your gums and the soft tissues of your mouth.
- Report on the state of your oral health and advice on treatment required.
- Removal of scale deposits that may be present.
- Oral health advice sessions to help you maintain your dental health.
- Fillings - either new cavities or replacement of old fillings when they fail.
- Extractions - when our best judgement is that a tooth should be removed
- X-rays when they are needed.
- Insurance against the cost of treatment for dental accidents, emergency treatment when away from home and the provision of a cash benefit, should you be admitted to hospital for dental related treatment.
- 20% discount on retail items bought at the practice and on treatments from our treatment menu which may become necessary but are not included above.
"The intervals between your visits will be recommended by your dentist according to the oral health situation of your mouth."
You can go up and you can go down on the plans according to your dental health. This will depend on you putting prevention into effect at home. At the annual assessment the oral health level will be reviewed and confirmed by the dentist and set for the following year. New cavities or progressing gum disease will tip you towards amber or red. Controlling your dental health will move you towards green or keep you in the green.
The 'Blue' plan
The 'blue' plan is our maintenance service and it is recommended for patients who wear full dentures. It covers:
- Examination of the soft tissues of your mouth and gums.
- Free denture repairs.
- Insurance against the cost of treatment for dental accidents, emergency treatment when away from home and the provision of a cash benefit, should you be admitted to hospital for dental related treatment.
- 20% discount on retail items bought at the practice and on treatments from our treatment menu.
Exclusions
Non-routine services, such as crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, root canal treatment, cosmetic dentistry, gum surgery, orthodontic treatment and occlusion therapy are not covered by the monthly payment. Also outside the plan are laboratory and prescription charges and any treatment requiring referral to consultants or specialists
How do I join?
"Joining a plan is very simple."
For a patient new to our practice, we carry out an examination for our usual private fee. Treatment needed will be listed and costed for you. This treatment will not be included in a plan but you may join immediately thus obtaining the discount on the treatment menu fees. We'll advise you which level of cover is appropriate for your dental situation.
For a patient of the practice currently registered with us under the NHS, at your next visit with the dentist we will examine your mouth and then advise you which level of cover is appropriate for your dental situation.
